Well My big boy is growing up way too fast, I had a moment of sadness as his crib that at one point was HUGE to him became to small and had to be replaced. We bought him his new bed about a year and a half ago at a consignment store for $100 and it sat in storage until recently. Then we pulled it out, repainted it and set it up for Ethan. This was mainly my project of repainting it, yes Danny helped he sanded it down in the places with the real deep scratches and even did a little painting but the brunt of it was me. I even have to admit Ethan helped paint a small bit too. He thought it was too much fun and we had to let him help, it is his bed after all!
This picture is a before picture (it was taken 2 months ago) if you notice Ethan's body is taking up almost half the bed and his legs are almost as long.
Here is Danny working on taking apart the last bit of baby we had for Ethan since he has outgrown everything else. *sniff*
The new bed is set up and all that's left to add are the sheets, Ethan at this point already learned about how fun this big bed was, we couldn't keep him off!
I thought this was a cute picture, he's bouncing around with his "I'm not causing trouble" grin. (just so you know it's marker on his legs not bruises!)
This one is once we got the sheets on and Ethan showing off.
Testing it to make sure it's up to snuff.
and we're done. despite the fact Ethan wouldn't leave his books nicely placed on his new book shelf I have to say not to shabby of a bed....
And this is Ethan as of 10:30 this evening. Asleep in his new big boy bed. This bed is not the only first for tonight. We put him to bed and usually he has to try to come back out of his room at least once, tonight he didn't come out at all, he stayed in bed played with his stuffed animals a bit (we could hear him on the baby monitor) and then fell asleep all by himself!) Yay Ethan!!
