Hey everyone this is Stefanie just leaving everyone a quick post on our blogs to let you know what is going on down here. These are all pictures from my camera. My mom has more and will post those later of the house and even inside.
We are all ok and we got most important papers and almost all pictures out of the house and salvaged but there wasn't much left unfortunately to salvage due to the quality of water it is all wading in(sewage water). Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers from those of whom we have had a chance to hear from. We appreciate all the voicemails (since we've been pretty busy the phones aren't getting answered at the moment). We will call and talk to people as time permits, please understand we're under alot of stress and heartache at the moment.
We will call everyone once the busyness side of things are settled and we can breathe. The water is chest deep when standing outside of the house and about knee deep inside the house. It's a loss but thankfully everyone got out alright and we will be doing all we can here to help my parents out but at least the important stuff is safe and the other stuff is replaceable. The area has been declared a disaster area so hopefully we'll get some government assistance along with the flood insurance my parents thankfully got, many neighbors don't have any flood insurance.So here are a few pictures of what's going on.

The soggy chickens. We have 21 of the 24 chickens in these two pens. The last two were never found.
A few of the neighbors houses. There were more but we didn't get to seeing all the others. We had other priorities.
if you look to the right of the driveway you can see the top of these peoples white sedan.
These people had an aboveground pool...it's about 4 inches from being submerged. Their deck was BRAND new...finished maybe a week ago.
Please keep my parents and all these other people in your thoughts, prayers and hearts. We love you all!

I'm sooooo sad for your parents! Tell them that they'll be in my prayers- your house and stuff okay? How are you feeling with the pregnancy? Past the sickness? Anywho - I'll keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.
On a happier note....I just noticed that you are at the home stretch....100 days left until the little mouse makes her apperance! That's gotta make ya feel good!! Your almost there:) Your back down to double digits!!! Yahoo!
I was so sorry to hear about your parent's home. Did they have very much of a warning? I had no idea they were in danger (I haven't kept up on the news this past week). Give them our love and our prayers are with them.

I am heartsick about your parent's home. And although it is their home, I'm sure that this all must be so hard on you, too. Please know that I am here for you and will do anything I can to help. Sorry I haven't called yet--it's a bit crazy here with the girls home today. I suppose we are all suffering from "cabin fever"--but I need to be grateful that we have a cabin.
How are things at your place? I can stop by to help with yardwork clean-up or anything else you might need. Let me know...
