Big boy

Well we had to do away with the front rail on his crib because wed morning someone greeted us in bed. Yes despite his mattress being at floor level and the railings at it's highest spot our little troublemaker found his way yet again out of his bed. Thankfully we bought about 9 months by dropping the mattress down. We have a big boy bed for him but we want to paint it and wait to see how this arrangement works first. Danny was working late so we decided to be productive (my avoiding doing the dishes) removed the rail and set up his bed guard. Looking at these pictures really shows how big he is in his bed now. My baby is growing up too fast! But Ethan LOVES it he now calls it his "night night" and loved climbing in and out. Last night was our first night with it this way. He stayed in his bed most the time and his room all night. Although at 3:30 am he was awake, making noise, turned his light on and was reading books in his bed. But he stayed in his bed/room until 7:45 this morning. Hopefully night 2 goes even better!
(yes there are usually books and toys on that bookshelf but see below as to why it looks bare!)

This is Ethan demonstrating how he got out of his bed when the rail was up.
CAUTION DISASTER AREA BELOW
A days worth of tornado Ethan. Don't worry there were none injured in this disaster :)

He looks quite pleased with himself in his "big boy bed." He's looking more and more like you everytime I see him. Those Browne genes are strong ones!
Yes, isn't it amazing how fast they can clear a shelf or two! :)
